Showtime

Okay..
Have you guys ever been to a concert?
Any concert. If you haven't, you need to. The thrill is incredible. The bass pumps through you and people are screaming for the performers on stage and in my opinion, you never feel more alive.

So how many of you have been to an Owl City concert?
The excitement is the same, of course. Unless you're a hootowl.
Then it's more. The energy, the "vibe" if you will, is different for hootowls. There's a sense of family. I can't tell you how many new friends I made at the concerts I attended (I've been to 2) and many of those I still talk to. At OC concerts, everybody loves everybody. You say hi and instantly you're friends because hey, you're both hootowls, and what more could you ask for?
And this is all before the concert even STARTS.
There's usually an act before, the opener. Even if you don't know them, it gets you even more excited. You jam along with new friends to new music. And often, the opener is so good that you become fans of THEM, too. (This is how I discovered the incredible band Echosmith, whom I'm a huge fan of now as well.)
But then there's a break after that band as done and you know he's coming. You know he's back there, chilling with Jasper and Breanne and Daniel, you know he's just as anxious as you are to get this show on the road.

And then he's there.

Adam Young there and you're screaming and EVERYONE is screaming and it's way louder than anything you've ever heard, but you don't care because this man, the man who made those albums you bought and wrote those tweets you favorited, he's there in front of you. And he's singing all your favorite songs and you and your new hootowl friends are singing too, and that is the moment you've been waiting for, and it's all you imagined and more.

I want everyone to experience the thrill of an Owl City concert.

Yours to the end of time,
-Aidan
